Graduate Degrees
To be considered for admission in a degree program at Clifton International University (CIU), prospective students must complete introductory courses called Foundations courses. Once students successfully complete these courses and meet all other admissions requirements, they may enroll in their desired degree program. Once accepted into the program students will, in most cases, be granted credit for all completed CIU Foundations courses. During those courses, students should submit the following application materials if they want to enroll in a degree program.
Required Application Materials
- English Proficiency
- Undergraduate degree completion
- Letter of Recommendation (MBA only)
- Resume demonstrating two years of work experience (MBA only)
English Proficiency
Applicants who are non-native English speakers, or did not complete their undergraduate degree in an institution where the primary language of instruction is English, are required to provide proof of English proficiency. Should applicants be unable to provide proof of English proficiency, they will need to successfully complete a CIU English course before proceeding to CIU MBA Foundations. CIU does not require a standardized entrance exam for admittance.
Undergraduate Degree Completion
Proof of undergraduate degree completion must be met by providing a diploma or its official functional equivalent. With our mission to open the gates to higher education, students may begin their studies without delay!
This requirement may be satisfied during your first term at CIU through the submission of:
- official diploma (or transcript showing graduation) sent directly to CIU (either mailed or submitted online); or
- a photocopy of the original diploma (or transcript showing graduation) certified by a notary sent directly to CIU (either mailed or submitted online);
Letter of Recommendation (MBA only)
Applicants submit a letter of recommendation from one individual who can write knowledgeably about their academic background and/or work experience. The letter should be formally written and addressed to the CIU Office of Admissions. Applicants should submit their reference’s first and last name, email address, and phone number including the country code.
Resume (MBA only)
Applicants submit a resume showing at least two years of work experience.
